Learning at Home

At Te Ranga every student, in every class, is expected and encouraged to participate in Home-Learning. We focus on 'little and often' practice of the basics. This includes reading every day, practicing spelling and mathematics.

Teachers provide weekly Home-Learning tasks and recording sheets. If you would like to support your child with further learning at home, this is the place for you.

Homework is an important way to support your child’s learning, but we believe it should be manageable, enjoyable, and not take away from their time to rest and play. Little and often is best—just a few minutes of focused practice each day can make a big difference!
